I loved the pattern. It’s a perfect high-waisted young, fashionable skirt that worked great in the thicker denim fabric. It’s been one of my highest rotation skirts since I made it back in June 2015.

When I first looked at the pattern, I thought it would be too difficult for my ability but I followed the instructions and it came together surprisingly easily.

Sewing this skirt up was the right amount of breeziness and challenge for me. The pattern has great shape; its modern hemline and exposed zipper makes it super gorgeous & unique while also being really comfortable to wear throughout the day. I loved seeing how all the pieces would come together, as it has such a polished shell, I did wonder a few times if my version would be as slick… and yes! Thanks to Annie’s suggestions and don’t forget to baste & iron a lot!

Annie’s created a very interesting sewing pattern as her first steps as an Indie Pattern Maker and I can’t wait to see what she rolls out next! For now, I’ll just show off my pins with my new Pin Pegs Wrap Skirt! But I might also make another for summer, and another for spring… why not!

I wore it to work today and got bunches of compliments so that must mean it’s a stellar pattern!

Annie has created a cleverly designed skirt that combines many modern design elements. It’s a wrap, it’s asymmetric, it’s a mini and has an exposed zip. All edges are faced to ensure a nice clean finish both inside and out. It can be a trans seasonal piece if made in a wool for winter, paired with tights and boots, or a bright print for summer.

I loved the results. Now I have a unique pencil skirt that is appropriate for work and also sexy at the same time. I like the fit so much, that I plan on using this skirt as the basis for my TNT stretch, pencil skirt pattern.
