I recently swapped the sewing needles for the knitting needles to knit this Diana Sweater by Wool and the Gang.
I purchased the Diana Sweater pattern online which includes three variations of this sweater in one pattern – the Diana, Florence and Mary Sweater. You can choose either garter stitch, moss or holey stitch. I chose the Diana version which uses the “holey” stitch. I love the holey stitch because I’m not the worlds best knitter and the stitch is very forgiving. Drop a stitch, add a stitch, you can’t really tell. The wool is a super soft cotton and is perfect for Autumn or Spring weather. There are so many gorgeous colours to choose from too but I really love this mint colour. It’s a really easy sweater to knit which I made up pretty quickly whilst watching (sort of) the kids play sport and music. As I said, I’m not the best knitter so I made a few mistakes. Like, I rolled the cuffs of the sleeves under instead of over! I also chose to have the pearl facing out and the knit on the inside. On the W&G website their version has the knit on the outside but I think mine looks better the way it is. I think I will unpick the cuffs though and roll them up the right way!
It’s a really simple little jumper (Aussie for sweater) to knit and I highly recommend it for beginners. Just a simple rectangle front and back and a couple of small rectangle sleeves. I’ll definitely be knitting something else from Wool and the Gang. I love their designs.

Thanks Sue,
It’s an easy knit. I’m definitely not a knitter but I found this pretty easy. Looks good for a simple knit too. xx
