Why it’s great for kids to learn to sew at Kids Sewing School?

Knowing how to sew is a fantastic life skill that is creative, practical and has many health benefits. These days with technology being such a big part of our children’s lives it’s even more important to be able to offer a skill that promotes mindfulness. Sewing is a skill that will give them time to relax and unwind from their busy lives. It also requires focus, concentration and problem solving.

Studies have shown that children who learn to sew develop both mental and physical benefits along with hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Finishing a sewing project from start to finish requires many skills from learning how to follow instructions, choosing fabrics through to mathematical skills for sizing, and fitting which all develop creative thinking. It gives a sense of accomplishment which boosts morale and self confidence. Sewing is a creative process and it’s a fantastic way to express your own individuality not to mention it’s just fun!
