I’ve been working on a second version of The Daphne Day Dress pattern for a little while now and I am so excited to let you know that it is now available for purchase! I have created a full back version of the original Daphne Day Dress which features the cut out back so I could offer this gorgeous dress pattern to sewers who prefer a full back but love the original style of the Daphne Day Dress.
If you love both versions, I have also created a bundle with both of the patterns available. The bundle includes both the patterns.
The Daphne Day Dress patterns are perfect pattern for the intermediate sewer. The cut out back version has an exposed zipper fastening with a button closure. The full back version has an invisible zipper fastening. Both versions bodices have facing and a beautiful gathering detail under the bustline. The skirt has box pleats and has two side seam pockets. The length measures 90cm from the center back neck.

This looks awesome! Do you have any tips or tutorials on how to do an FBA on the bodice?

Hi Claire, Thankyou! I don’t have a tutorial on FBA as I actually have the opposite problem and need a SBA! However, there are plenty of tutorials on the web. I always like Threads or Craftsy for tutorials. I did a bit of research for you as the gathers might not be as easy to adjust as just a standard bodice with darts. Try this tutorial by Lazy Stitching. It might help 🙂
