I’m so excited to be offering Sewing Lessons for kids and adults!
I love teaching (I also teach pilates and spin classes) and am now offering sewing lessons in a fun and relaxed environment at my home in St Kilda. The space is very open and light and a great place to relax and socialise with other sewers. The classes are small and I supply sewing machines, patterns and light refreshments. Each course will have an outline as to what specific materials to bring.
Knowing how to sew is a fantastic life skill that is creative, practical and has many health benefits. These days with technology being such a big part of our lives it’s even more important to be able to offer a skill that promotes mindfulness. Sewing is a skill that will give you time to relax and unwind from your busy lives. Sewing is especially great for our children as it also requires focus, concentration and problem solving. It gives a sense of accomplishment which boosts moral and self confidence. Sewing is a creative process and it’s a fantastic way to express your own individuality not to mention it’s just fun!
Here is a pic of some of the girls that attended my Sewing School Camp recently. They made a donut pin cushion and a cuddly cushion to take home. Delighted!
Jo and Gen completed the Annie A-line sewing course. This was the first time Gen has ever sewn a garment for herself! Hashtag Amazing!!
